Maxson graduated with a Ph.D. in Communication Arts and Sciences in 2018. Maxson was one of two students in Fine Arts and Humanities to win an Alumni Association Dissertation Award in 2018. After graduating from Penn State, Maxson accepted a position as Professor of Liberal Arts (Communication) at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

April 3, 2019. Two students in Penn State's College of Agricultural Sciences are the recipients of the Guyton Award, a global learning scholarship established recently by Bill Guyton, an agricultural economist and internationally recognized expert in sustainable development.

The Department of Psychology at Penn State's University Park campus is part of the College of the Liberal Arts. The Department includes more than 60 full-time faculty members and more than 150 graduate students. Facilities include the Psychological Clinic, the Child Study Center, and numerous research laboratories. We conduct research and offer courses in many areas of psychology.

Lauren Perrotti wins Penn State Alumni Association Scholarship for Penn State Alumni in the Graduate School; Congratulations to Chris Oechler, who has accepted an offer for a tenure-track position in Golden Age Literature at the rank of Assistant Professor at Gettysburg College.

Penn State's Eberly College of Science Alumni Society honored him in 1990 with its Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his over 30 years of service to the University. Dixon continued to contribute to the chemistry community following his retirement from Penn State in 1984.

Alumni Association Dissertation Award - The Alumni Association Dissertation Award provides funding and recognition to outstanding full-time doctoral students who have passed their comprehensive exams and have received approval of the dissertation topic. This award is considered to be among the most prestigious available to Penn State graduate.

The Penn State Alumni Association honored Caroline in 2010 with the Alumni Achievement Award for those alumni reaching an extraordinary level of achievement by age 35 or younger. Assemblywoman Casagrande is a resident of Colts Neck, where she lives with her husband Stephen Chance and two sons Harrison and Teddy and their dog Thatcher.
